Perkville Privacy Policy

We collect this information to personalize your experience, improve our website, improve customer service, process reward transactions and to periodically contact you via email. Account Information

User “Account Information” includes, but is not limited to, the following data:

  • Facebook profile
  • Twitter handle
  • Birthday
  • Gender
  • Email addresses of friends referred to a business
  • Facebook posts for points
  • Tweets for points

Businesses on Perkville can see the Account Information of Users that have joined such Business’ reward program. Developers that Users or Businesses authorize to access their Account Information or account can also see such User’s or Business’ Account Information.

Transaction Information

“Transaction Information” includes, but is not limited to, the following data:

  • Email address of the customer making a transaction
  • Date, time, and location a transaction took place
  • Description and/or classification of the transaction (e.g., class attended, amount spent, etc.)
  • Quantity of items sold or services associated with the transaction
  • Number of points added or redeemed in connection with the transaction
  • Employee, Business or User Employee number who performed the transaction whereby points were added or redeemed in connection with a transaction

Employees that have access to Perkville through their Business can see all data for transactions from their Business. Users can see their own transactions across the Businesses they transact with on Perkville. Businesses and Users cannot see data for any transactions that they are not a party.

Employee Information

We collect information from businesses' employees using Perkville including but not limited to the following data:

  • Name
  • Email address

This information is made available to other Employees in the same Business.

Businesses Information

We collect business information, including but not limited to, the following data:

  • Business name
  • Business Address
  • Phone number
  • Web Address
  • Business categories
  • Business website
  • Faceboook page
  • Twitter handle
  • Reward program rules
  • Offers

We believe it is in Businesses' best interest to make this data as widely available as possible, so that the Business can get more exposure and customers. Consequently, we treat this information as public information and make it available to anyone on our site as well as make it available offsite to other companies such as search engines.

Activity and Log Data

We store Perkville users' log and activity information including but not limited to the following data:

  • Pages viewed
  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Requested URL
  • Browser language
  • Referring URL
  • Date and time

We use this information to improve our site and service.

Transfer of Information

We use third party providers for the following services:

  • Host our web servers
  • Send emails
  • Perform tracking and reporting

We may share information with these providers but they are not permitted to use your personal information other than to enable Perkville to function. We will not sell, rent, or otherwise provide Account Information or Transaction Information to any third party, except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

We maintain the option to share non-personal information, in the aggregate, to help current or potential business relationships and to promote Perkville. Examples include, the total number of users on Perkville and the total number of businesses on Perkville.


Cookies are small files that Perkville transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow this) that enables Perkville to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. Our cookies are linked to your login information so that you can use Perkville from your computer throughout the day without logging in each time you visit us.

Reasons We Would Share Your Information

Legal and Security Reasons: We may disclose information about our Users and Businesses to third parties if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • Take action regarding suspected illegal activities
  • Enforce or apply our Terms of Service
  • Comply with legal process and law enforcement instructions and orders including but not limited to warrants, subpoenas, statutes, judicial proceedings
